The reasons you are driving over this path can be anything - but as long as you have a single reason to keep driving, committing suicide is irrational, since it prevents you from reaching your destination.
As I am driving over this path, I am always curious: what is at the next corner? What will I see an hour later? What new experiences will I get? I like exploring the path of life, it is enjoyable to me, hence I keep driving it and see no reason to stop.
It will be different for different people, however. I doubt you can find a single reason for not committing suicide that would apply to every single individual.
